Maniac Mansion
Graphics-9/10- Actually very good. The characters are big, but don't take up too much of the screen. There isn't too much detail, but each item is easily identified. The colors chosen to make the game are kind of dark and dull, but other than that, it's all very good.

Sound/Music-9/10- There's a different theme for each character you can play with in the game. Some of them, such as Bernard's, are extremely catchy. Sound effects are pretty simple. My only complaint is that the music is completely stopped whenever certain sound effects are played.

Gameplay-10/10- The object of this game is to search around a mansion with 3 different friends of your choice (out of 6 total friends) to find David's (one of your characters) girlfriend Sandy. The mansion was hit by a meteor many years ago, which turned the mansion into an old haunted hous and those who lived in it into zombies. You have to avoid the zombies that are walking around the house and pick up certain items to use in certain places. You must solve puzzles using the commands at the bottom of the screen "go to", "get", "use", "open", and about 12 others. This game is one of a kind, and if you haven't played it, it's very fun. If, without a walkthrough of course, you want to figure out every possible thing you can do in this game, the possibilities are endless because there are many different ways to come to the end, but all are as challenging and puzzling as the others.

Control-8/10- No complaints, except that it would be nice to move the cursor a bit faster to get to the commands at the bottom of the screen and the items on the main screen.

Replay Value-10/10- Like I said earlier, there are many ways to complete the game, and many humorous things you can do in the game, including exploding a hamster by putting it in the microwave.

Overall- 9.2/10- Even though it's pretty hard to find, this is a must have for every NES owner. I guarentee you'll be pleased, and this provides many hours of fun.
