Long ago and far away

Simple times are tucked away

Remembrances of days of past

With special grace shall always last

 

We each may think of days gone by

Our spirits marvel with a sigh

Of all the work in life they gave

To pave the path in life we save

 

Working hard from dawn to dusk

Finding comfort just like us

Perhaps for them a simple way

But living in the time of day

 

Grateful for the earth they tended

For all the paths in life attended

These the pioneers we saver

That gives our life so much flavor.
