Sloane rolls his shoulders in a shrug and stuffs his hands in his pockets. He glances back at Jaelyn and says,'Not really much to see here. It's a nice change to visit an inn without having to work in the stables, though.' He nods towards a tavern down the street and adds,'The food there is pretty good.'
Jaelyn shifts her bag slightly over her shoulder glancing up and down the street. 'I'll let you decide where to go, I'm just starving.' she says, sounding just a slight bit whiny as she goes on, 'My feet hurt, I'm not quite used to doing this much walking.'
Sloane carefully avoids looking in Jaelyn's direction, as a grin splits his face. He begins walking towards the entrance of the Blue Sparrow. Once he has his face schooled back to a more respectful expression, he turns back towards her and says,'I would offer to carry you, but I don't think we'd survive the scandal. It'd be worse than sore feet, anyway.'
Jaelyn arches an eyebrow slightly and looks over at Sloane rather cooly before just giving an indignant sniff and continuing walking. 'As if I would let you carry me. I'm not a child.' she says, then grimaces, going on in a more friendly tone, 'Despite what all the Aes Sedai say.'
Discretion is the better part of valor. Sloane doesn't even crack his teeth to comment. He merely pulls his hands from his pockets and opens the door to the common room of the inn then steps back to hold it for Jaelyn.
Jaelyn gives Sloane a brief smile as she steps in the door, glancing about the inn for a moment or two before simply just moving to one side and letting Sloane step in after her.
Sloane pulls the door closed behind him as he lets his eyes adjust to the comparatively dim light of the interior. After a moment, he points out an empty table in the corner and begins to lead Jaelyn in that direction.
Jaelyn follows after Sloane and, upon arriving at the table sinks greatfully into one of the chairs, setting her bag on the chair next to her. Reaching down she rubs at one foot with a brief grimace, but says nothing.
Sloane seats himself across Jaelyn and begins looking around for a serving girl. After a moment, one emerges from the kitchens with a laden tray. She nods an acknowledgement when he waves to get her attention, but continues on her way. Sloane turns to Jaelyn and settles back in his chair, saying,'Service is usually pretty good here. We shouldn't have to wait very long.'
Jaelyn nods and drops her foot back to the ground smoothing her hands down her skirts with a courteous nod. 'Service is, of course, all relative.' she murmurs with a bit of a smirk, but doesn't seem to inclined to elaborate on that further.
The outside door opens and after a moment, a relatively tall, cloaked figure is revealed. The hood of the garment is already down, revealing his features. They are not extraordinary in the least. After a brief pause in the doorway, his eyes playing across the room in a seemingly casual sweep, he closes the door and moves in to the building like one long-accustomed to entering Inns. Scouting a table near yours, which just so happens to grant him a fairly easy view of the doorways, he makes his way towards it in an unhurried manner. (Torden)
Sloane shrugs slightly and says,'Well, as inns in Alindaer go, this one has good service. Outside of that, I can't say much.. I've never been to an inn anywhere else.' He glances up as the door opens, but quickly loses interest in the newcomer and returns his attention to Jaelyn.
Jaelyn smirks slightly and just gives a lopsided shrug of one shoulder, 'I'll take your word for it.' she says with a quiet smile.
Torden seats himself nearly parallel to you two so that he would only have to turn his head to look in your direction, which he does upon seating himself. He takes you in for a few moments and then moves on in an arc across the room, occasionally stalling on people. He doesn't seem to be staring at any one person, but he does shoot you both another quick glance once his initial scan is complete. He then gestures towards a serving girl, which earns him a polite nod before she rushes off to tend to some other customer.
Sloane seems about to make another comment when he is interrupted by the arrival of the serving girl. Before she can ask what he wants, he offers,'I'll have whatever is ready and plenty of hot tea, as well.' Then he turns towards Jaelyn and waits for her to order.
Jaelyn wrinkles her nose slightly, then gives a bit of a shrug again. 'Same thing, but i'd like my tea cold please.' she says politely, then turns to Sloane as she folds her hands on the table. 'Hopefully, it will be something good.'
Sloane frowns slightly and chews his bottom lip as if in thought, then he nods. In a matter-of-fact tone, he says,'This time of year, the special is probably horse. This place has the best horse, by far.'
Jaelyn blinks once, then her eyes widen slightly as she arches an eyebrow. 'Horse...?' she repeats rather disbelivingly, shaking her head and folding her arms a bit closer to herself, 'If I didn't know better, I'd say you were trying to make me look like a fool.'
Sloane blinks at Jaelyn and adopts one of those expressions of innocence that could never be achieved by any but the guilty. He shakes his head in denial and says,'Of course not. Shock you, maybe.. but make you look a fool? Not sure I can run fast enough to risk that.' The last is said with a very wide grin.
The hint of a smile plays on the corners of Torden's lips, although it would otherwise appear he is oblivious to any sort of conversation around him. The waitress finally returns and breathlessly asks for his order. He murmurs quietly in reply, 'A plate of beef, some potato and a bottle of red wine, if you would be so kind.' He grins and he flips a coin in to the air, gold by the shine of it. She snatches it out of the air and after a moment she curtseys and scurries away, much quicker on her feet than before.
Jaelyn snorts softly and sticks her nose up in the air with a very put-upon look etched across her face. 'Indeed.' she says indignantly, 'You would quite very well regret it for a few days afterwards as well. I've no Oaths binding me yet.' Despite the harsh tones of her words, her eys sparkle with barely contained amusement.
Torden cannot help but quirk an eyebrow at Jaelyn's outburst as she mentions Oathes. He turns his head a little towards the couple and studies them a bit more critically, his lips pursing together in a pensive manner. Turning towards the waitress which is huffing and puffing, he blinks as he sees she has already completed his order is on her way over to deliver it.
Sloane leans back in his chair and blinks even more innocently before saying,'I'll have to wait until afterwards, then. Revenge for embarrassment would not count as defending the life of self, warder or sister, right?'
Jaelyn arches her eyebrow again, 'That depends on the level of embarrassment.' she comments coolly, then frowns a bit at the waitress, already running back with Torden's order even though his was placed after their own. 'Do they often skip people like that?' she asks Sloane, still watching the woman with a slight frown.
Torden's lips purse together harder at the mention of "Warder" and "Sister" by the lad before he schools his face to a practiced neutrality. He turns towards the waitress which has begun to lower her tray. At that moment, the male half of the True Source rushes in to fill him to some small degree and with a simple loop of Air he crushes the central, and only, support of the round table. The top of table flips towards the waitress , as does his meal. The dishes shatter with a loud crash, sending some of the generous helping of gravy in all directions, including a smattering on both pairs of footwear. The waitress has fared far worse, spilling nearly half the bottle of wine down her front as she had lifted it to pour the man a glass as the "accident" occurred. Torden bolts to his feet and demands angrily, the Source already pushed away, 'What is the meaning of this !?'
Sloane opens his mouth to answer Jaelyn but is drowned out by the sudden commotion. He pushes back from the table in startlement and then glances down at his gravy-soaked boots. From the already sad condition of his footwear, it is difficult to say if his frown is caused by the further ruination or the waste of good food.
Jaelyn gives a startled cry, jerking back a bit out of reflex and blinking at the mess made, but a small, cool, smile curves her lips as she mutters, probably too soft for anyone but Sloane to hear, 'Serves her right...' Then, her gaze drops to her shoes and she gives another squeak of indignation, 'My shoes! She ruined my shoes!'
The frazzled woman squeaks something about fetching some rags and dashes towards the kitchen with all the speed she can muster. Torden sighs and mutters darkly, 'Bloody blood and bloody ashes... Sheep swallop for brains and that's putting it nicely...' Grimacing he turns towards your both and takes a couple steps and asks, putting on his most polite manner, 'Might I join you briefly, until she sorts out this mess ?' There are other nearby tables that are empty, but he seems intent on joining you both. Grimming he adds, trying to encourage you both to accept him, 'I'd be willing to treat you both for your company if nothing else...'
Sloane shrugs his shoulders slightly and glances up from his boots. He glances briefly at Jaelyn and then back to Torden before saying,'It is entirely up to the lady, good sir.' Then he turns his attention back to his boots while pulling a handkerchief from his pocket.
Jaelyn is quite too preoccupied with ranting over the state of her shoes, snatching a napkin from the table and wiping at the gravy, to even hear Torden's request, let alone give any sort of response to it.
Sloane starts to lean down to swipe at his boots, then pauses, turning to watch Jaelyn muttering to herself. He grins with amusement for a moment, before leaning back up and raising his voice to say,'Jaelyn. The gentleman was asking if you minded if he joins us.'
Jaelyn finishes with her shoes and glances up to Sloane, looking sharply to Torden in near surprise as she blinks a few times then shrugs with a touch of a lopsided shrug again, 'As long as our table doesn't end up on the floor as well, I don't mind at all.' she says a touch curtly frowning down at her shoes again, 'I rather like these shoes.'
Torden offers the woman a polite smile, though perhaps it is a little obvious is it forced. Shaking his head, he mutters to Sloane, 'One would think the owners would keep the furniture in proper order.'
Sloane stands up and retrieves a chair from one of the nearby empty tables and offers it to Torden before resuming his own seat. As he sits, he says,'It usually is. I've eaten here many times and there has never been an incident before.'
Jaelyn grimaces and gives a soft "humph" noise as she tucks her feet under her chair, well out of range of any other possible food mishaps from collapsing furniture as she comments, 'Rather odd that it would choose just that moment to collapse like that..'
Torden grimaces in agreement and mutters darkly, 'You never can tell when things are ready to give out.' Sitting down in the chair brought him by Sloane, he sighs, getting comfortable and murmurs, 'I am sorry if I am imposing, but it's not really all that great to be eating and drinking alone...'
Sloane settles back in his chair and shrugs,'My father always claimed that they did it on purpose. Never did trust inanimate objects much.' He grins mischievously then, and adds,'Mother always said he was touched by the Light, though.'
Jaelyn gives a soft giggle and a bit of a smile towards Sloane, shaking her head as she smooths her hands over her skirts, looking down at her lap. Her mirth fades rather markedly though and she gives a soft sigh before glancing up with a frown, 'Hopefully she won't drop our food all over the floor.' she comments a touch curtly.
Torden chuckles and replies, 'I've met my share of those who are...touched, as your mother so put it.' Grinning, he looks over his shoulder towards the kitchen a little impatiently.
Sloane glances towards the kitchen and then back to Jaelyn as he says,'Well, he also said that lightning never strikes twice. If he was right, we should be safe for the rest of the meal.'
Jaelyn shrugs and gives another slight grimace. 'I didn't see any lightning causing that, did you?' she asks with a bit of humor, 'But... I suppose we'll see.'
Torden grins and shrugs, muttering quietly, 'I had best be getting a free meal out of this. I've run in to better service, for sure.' Grimacing, he turns to look over his shoulder again, but there is no waitress coming.
Sloane shrugs slightly, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. He settles more comfortably in his chair, seemingly less worried about the service than his companions.
Jaelyn picks at the edge of her sleeve with the fingers of one hand, frowning more and more with each passing moment as she watches the help scurry about cleaning up the mess from the floor. 'Perhaps we should go elsewehre... someplace less... accident prone?'
Torden chuckles and replies, 'Aye, there are many a fine Inn here, if the people I've talked to can be believed. We needn't put up with this sort of sheep swallop.' Once the words are out of his mouth, he blushes and with eyes downcast murmurs quietly, 'I beg your pardon, m'Lady. My tongue often gets ahead of me.'
Sloane frowns slightly and sits up a bit straighter in his chair. He sighs in a most put upon way and mutters,'But no other inns serve horse.'
Jaelyn snorts and gives Sloane a maybe-not-so-mocking glare. 'Then you'll just have to order something else, Sloane. Like what normal, decent, people eat.' she says with a touch of indigation, 'Perhaps fish.'
Torden chuckles and qips, 'Can't ride or work a field with fish.' Rising from his seat, he looks to each of you to see if you're about to follow.
Sloane grins mischievously at Jaelyn, seemingly oblivious to her glare. Then he rises to his feet and moves quickly around the table, offering his arm to help her rise.
Jaelyn accepts Sloane's arm as if she had been expecting it and more than likely would have been miffed if it hadn't been offered. She reaches over to the chair next to her with her free hand to toss her bag back over her shoulder and follows out after Torden, letting Sloane lead the way.
Torden turns and moves out of the room, turning to see if you are following him, once he reaches the threshold.
Torden strides confidently down the streets of the city. After several twists and turns, he leads you both to a quiet-looking Inn, some would even say humble. He pauses at the door and raises an eyebrow at you both in a politely inquisitive manner.
Sloane eyes the building a bit askance, then looks questioningly to Jaelyn before shrugging and turning back to Torden,'I'm not particular. If it is acceptable to the lady, I'm sure I can live with it.'
Jaelyn does not look very thrilled at all, but, admirably enough, she just shrugs, 'I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.' she says, sounding as if that's quite a large benefit she's granting on the shabby place.
Torden cannot hide his smirk very well. He turns away and says while facing away from you, 'The building may need some work, but you cannot find better service.' He opens the door and steps in, holding it open for the two of you. As his eyes adjust he looks around. Before he can even say anything, a plump woman scurries over, easily in her fifties. He offers a slight curtsey and asks, 'Welcome back to the Elegant Swan, Master Dhat.' She looks out the door and asks merrily, 'Ah, have you brought me more guests ?'
Sloane silently mouths the word "Elegant" with a most disbelieving expression on his face. Then he gives a slight shrug and motions for Jaelyn to enter ahead of him.
Jaelyn seems to quite agree with Sloane on this one, hesitating a bit and casting him a nervous glance before stepping through the door after Torden.
Torden replies, 'Yes, Mistress Instah. Would you prepare us a private dining room, please ?' She doesn't reply at first, instead glaring at Sloane angrily. From somewhere she produces a large wooden spoon and waves it at the man threateningly, a scowl set on her face. She snaps, 'I cannot help it that my oaf of a husband thought it time to die before fixing the roof and the Light knows whatever else needs doing around here. It's snobbish fools like you that...' Torden suddenly clears his throat rather loudly and says, 'If you please, Mistress. The private dining room.' She smirks at the lad once again, and hoists the spoon threateningly before offering a polite, and reserved, curtsey to Torden and Jaelyn. She waddles to the kitchen where cries erupt and her spoon can be seen being waved just as the door closes behind her. Torden turns towards you both and offers an apologetic smile, murmuring quietly, 'She can be a tad excitable...'
Jaelyn blinks at Mistress Instah's back with a bit of a blank expression as the woman waddles off. 'My what an... interesting... person..?' she says this last word as if she's not quite sure it applies and takes quite a bit of care to make sure she can't be overheard by the excitable matron.
Sloane snorts softly as the woman walks away and mutters under his breath,'Poor man probably killed himself just to get some relief.' Then he shakes his head and peers around the dark interior to get a better look at the place.
Torden sighs and shakes his head, muttering, 'Whatever her temperment, she will not keep us waiting long.' As if his words had summoned her, a rather buxom young serving girl dashes out of the kitchen, Mistress Instah's cries still hounding her. He scurries in front of the party and curtseys and beckons for them to follow her.
Jaelyn hesitates a bit, glancing to Sloane and back to Torden before cauciously stepping in the doorway, as if expecting it to suddenly collapse around her. Her hands grip the strap of her bag a bit tightly.
Sloane's eyes follow the serving girl as she curtseys, then his gaze darts back up just a bit too quickly. He blinks somewhat innocently and tries to fight down a grin as the girl rises. When Jaelyn starts following her, he falls in behind humming softly to himself.
The girl catches Sloane's eyes upon her and blushes slightly as she leads the way to a room midway down a hallway to the left of the entrance. Torden follows along cheerily enough, his own eyes shamelessly watching her pert buttocks undulate beneath her skirt.
Jaelyn spies both men oggling the girl and just gives an airy sniff, her nose turning up a bit higher in the air as she follows along after Torden, saying nothing, but making her displeasure quite clear, her gaze flicking about the room with a slight grimace.
Sloane arches an eyebrow questioningly when Jaelyn sniffs. He scratches his head slightly as if confused then looks back to Torden and shrugs his shoulders, before his gaze unerringly returns to the serving girl.
Torden almost bumps in to the object of his fixation as the girl abruptly halts in front of the door and opens it. He does his best to cover it up and waits somewhat impatiently as she works the key in the lock. Finally, the door is swung open and he enters briskly, taking a seat at the round table directly opposite the door. Grinning at the girl he calls out to her, 'For starters, bring a pitcher of chilled wine.' He looks to his companions to see if they have anything to add to the initial order.
Jaelyn says absolutely nothing as she sinks into one of the chairs with an audibly releived sigh, rubbing at her calf with one hand as she drops her bag next to her chair.
Sloane settles into a chair near Jaelyn and smiles warmly at the serving girl. He says affably,'Tea would be good for starters. As for the meal, whatever is ready is fine.'
Torden nods at Sloane and adds, 'Aye, whatever is ready for me as well, Preferably something with beef in it.' With a brief curtsey that again exposes her cleavage to advantage, which Torden almost helplessly gawks at, the girl leaves, seeming quite pleased with herself, closing the door after herself.
Given the present company, Jaelyn chooses to make no comment on her opinion of the overdone levels of testosterone in the room and simply tucks her feet under her chair, folding her hands in her lap and letting her gaze travel about the room, that small frown still on her face.
Sloane turns to look at Jaelyn, a very confused expression on his face, just in time to miss the serving girl's display on her way out. After a brief moment, he shrugs and turns to Torden to say,'It is very kind of you to treat us, sir.'
Torden takes half a second to realize he's been spoken to, still staring where the girl was. He blinks and turns to Sloane, a friendly smile crossing his face as he replies, 'Oh, it's the least I can do.' His eyes briefly move over Jaelyn, but he doesn't say anything, instead looking back towards Sloane and quirking an eyebrow at him.
Sloane shrugs slightly at Torden's unvoiced question, then begins rambling in one of those talking about the weather just making conversation kinda tones,'I've lived most of my life here in Alindaer and this is the first time I have ever been inside this Inn. Been past it many times, but for some reason just never came inside.'
Torden nods and replies, his voice taking on one of those genuinely interested even though I know it's pointless conversation tones, 'That's very interesting. It's old, from what I understand. The owner has fallen upon hard times since her husband died and has been hard pressed to attract any clientele that can reliably support the Inn.'
Sloane nods slowly, a sympathetic expression appearing on his face,'Seems like the entire world is falling on hard times lately. It'll all work out eventually, I suppose. Everything does, doesn't it?'
Torden nods in agreement, adding morosely, 'Aye, we can either wait for things to right themselves, or right them ourselves.' Just then, as if on cue to rescue this downward spiraling role-play, there is a knock at the door promptly followed by the serving girl, her chest heaving with effort as he brings in two heavily laden trays. Torden's gaze is immediately locked on it, especially as she leans over him to set down the various things she has brought with her. Setting the pitcher of wine in the middle of the table along with a glass each followed by a steaming kettle of tea, and another cup each for that, she passes the men each a steaming plate of roast beef, mashed potatoes all smattered with gravy without any trace of vegetables, save a small sprig of parsley. She turns to Jaelyn and asks politely, 'May I get you anything else ?'
Jaelyn manages to keep her distaste from showing all too blatantly on her face and even, shockingly enough, dredges up a polite smile for the girl as she says, 'The beeef looks fine.'
Sloane seems to finally catch a clue. He makes only the briefest of smiles to the serving girl before he leans forward and picks up the kettle, quickly filling two tea cups and passing one to Jaelyn.
The girl curtseys briefly and whisks out of the room quickly, on her way back to the kitchen. Torden casually pours himself a generous cup of wine and takes a sip. He nods at you both and murmurs, 'It seems the Mistress only gives me the best. I have yet to encounter a bad bottle, here.' Grinning he takes a few bites of his meal, smiling and nodding in an assured manner.
Jaelyn takes the cup of tea from Sloane with a tight little smile, leaning back a bit in her chair and sipping it slowly, once again grimacing a bit, but, still remaining silent.
A confused frown crosses Sloane's face again briefly before he takes a sip of his tea and settles back more comfortably in his chair. The expression fades away though, as he focuses his attention on his meal. He flashes a quick grin in Jaelyn's direction and says,'It does look good, doesn't it?' Then digs in with relish.
By the time it takes Torden to be halfway through his serving and already two full glasses of wine to wash it down, the serving girl finally returns, entering the room immediately after a rap at the door. Setting down Jaelyn's plate, which has potatoes, but half the meat and a separate bowl with a fresh tossed salad, the girl asks carefully, 'Is this to your liking ?' Not really waiting for a reply, he curtseys towards Torden and says to the man, 'This will be placed on your account of course, my Lord. If you require anything further, please leave the door cracked.' Curtseying again, she begins to move towards the only entrance to the room, save a window with the curtains drawn.
Jaelyn casts a bit of a glare at the girl once her back is turned but picks up her fork and digs into the food, obviously quite hungry, but her table manners are quite impeccable, down to even dabbing at her lips with her napkin after each bite. She says very little during the meal at all, merely glancing about the small room with a slight frown.
Sloane looks up from his meal as the serving girl begins to leave, his plate empty already. He doesn't even have the decency to appear embarrassed about not waiting. He pushes his plate forward and his chair back and leans back to relax with a sigh, muttering softly,'That was quite good.'
Torden finishes his food just a few moments after Sloane, draining another glass of wine a little after that. Also not seeming to care about Jaelyn's plight, he nods in agreement with the other man and adds quietly, 'Indeed.' Pushing his plate towards the middle of the table, he pours himself another glass of wine, which he takes a small sip of.
Jaelyn grimaces a bit and eyes Torden askance as he downs yet another glass of wine, but still says nothing and continues eating her own food at her own pace.
Sloane pours himself another serving of tea, then leans back in his chair again, cradling the cup in his hands and letting the steam from it wash over his face, sighing contentedly. After a moment, he mutters,'I should have tried this place years ago.'
Torden grins at Sloane and replies, 'Aye, it is a fine place.' Turning towards Jaelyn, he asks, 'And what do you think of the place ?'
Jaelyn arches one cool eyebrow at Torden as she very carefully finishes chewing and takes a dainty sip of her tea before replying, 'The food is decent.' she says with a slightly snobbish air.
Sloane grins wickedly when Jaelyn comments, then takes a quick sip of his tea, attempting to hide his amusement behind his cup.
Torden nods and asks the woman, 'Better than what they feed those in that are in the Tower to be trained ?' Grinning, he turns back to Sloane, including the fellow in the question. His eyes seem to grow a little colder and he seems to swell with confidence for no particular reason to the vast majority of people as a small trickle of saidin is pulled in to him. Without delay his is already preparing two small and simple flows of hardened Air.
Jaelyn doesn't seem to shocked at this question and since she's staring at her food, she doesn't quite catch the insinuation. 'Depends upon who is pulling kitchen duty, really. Some of the newer ones think it's funny to screw up the food on purpose at times.'
Sloane chuckles softly and inhales the steam off his tea again before replying in a very relaxed, almost sleepy tone,'Well, since most of the ones that do the cooking seem to be being punished, the food there isn't that grand. Not to mention it loses something when you cook enough to feed hundreds of people at once.'
Torden blinks once, then twice before nodding in a thoughtful manner. Finally he turns towards the woman and says quietly, 'You had best finish that, this will be the last full meal you will be having for quite some time, I'm afraid.' Cocking his head to the side a little, he tenses and waits for a reaction.
Jaelyn gives Torden a bit of a cool look and continues eating at her own speed, pausing briefly to dab at her lips before saying, 'I'll eat at my own pace, Thank you.' with more than a touch of snobbery, 'You have quite a poor opinion of Tower cuisine, for someone who more than likely hasn't eaten more than a meal or two there at all.'
Sloane nods sleepily, once, then blinks hard. He glances up at Torden, a look of suspicion slowly forming in his eyes. He lowers his cup to the table and asks in an abrupt tone,'What do you mean?'
Torden smirks and replies, 'I mean that we are going on a trip together. A fairly long trip.' While still grinning at Sloane, his two invisible weaves of solidified Air move to strike each of you on backs of your heads with enough force to knock a person out, generally.
Exactly what Torden means, finally dawns on Jaelyn just a few moments after Sloane's question and she turns to face Torden, having just enough time to open her mouth before the Air slams up against her temple (since she turned) and her eyes roll back in her head as she topples forward, out of her chair and onto the floor.
Sloane's jaw sets in a hard line, his entire body tensing. At Torden's words, he grips the edge of the table and pushes back hard, just as the blow strikes the back of his head. His chair topples over, depositing his unconscious form on the floor.
Torden sighs and rises from his seat, ignoring the two who have fallen for the moment. Moving to the door, he opens it and calls out, 'Mistress Instah, I must speak with you ! It's urgent.' Closing the door, he walks towards Sloane and rolls his body over to a more comfortable position on his back with his limbs straight. Rising, he moves towards Jaelyn and begins to do the same, muttering under his breath, 'Them come more stupid every time..' Just then, Mistress Instah careens in to the room, breathless and flush from effort. Her hand quickly goes to cover her mouth as shock overtakes her. The man finishes straightening out Jaelyn and turns from his crouched position to snap, 'Prepare my horse and the three others I brought with me.' A bit of edge creeps in to his tone as he snaps, 'Now !' The elderly woman tears herself away from the scene and trundles down the hallway already barking orders at the top of her lungs franticly after a very low curtsey and a whispered, 'Yes, Master.'
