Rand is leaning over a table examining the maps spread out upon it. A look of deep concentration is on his face. There are several chairs around the room, all pushed up against the walls to make room for the table in the middle.

Brenna stands there looking rather irritated as the servant walks into the room before her. She puts her hands on her leather clad hips, her fiery strands of hair curling at the small of her back and flowing around her shoulders and down between her breasts. Deep amber eyes survey the room, seeming unaffected about being summoned to the Lord Dragon's chambers as the servant's tentative voice calls out, "Captain Brenna Dyrler here to see you, My Lord."

Rand gazes at the maps for a moment longer, then without looking up says,'Thank you. You are dismissed.' He finally looks up from the table and straightens to stand erect as he turns to face Brenna. The servant quietly closes the door on the way out, which Rand seems to totally ignore. He looks thoughtfully into Brenna's face for a long moment, then finally asks,'How are you today?' Something in his tone of voice is tentative, as if that was not exactly what he meant to say, or as if he is stalling.

Brenna smirks softly as she walks into the middle of the room, her arms folding just under her breasts. "How am I?" She breathes in deeply, closing her eyes for the barest of moments and then turning her smoldering gaze to Rand once again, "Weeks of not hearing anything from you and all you do is ask how I am doing? Bloody perfect, how's that?!?"

Rand blinks once. That is his only reaction before his expression grows hard and cold. He turns back to look at the maps then, pacing around the table, shifting the papers around. After a moment he uncovers an envelope of golden paper, sealed with red wax. He turns back to face Brenna, the fingers of his right hand drumming lightly on the letter. He snorts softly and says,'In good health but ill temper. I suppose the second is my fault, although I doubt I can take any credit for the first.' He pauses again, studying her face carfully as his fingers continue to drum.

Brenna shakes her head slowly, snickering a second before speaking again, "Aye, I am well. Better than I was a week or so ago in any event." She unfolds her arms, expression softening as she begins to wander around the room, her golden eyes taking in everything, "So.. what did you bring me here for?"

Rand picks up the envelope and begins tapping it against the palm of his left hand. He moves back around the table to stand in front of Brenna and finally stills the tapping as he looks down at her. He frowns slightly and then asks,'Do you still wish to work with me?'

Brenna tilts her head, a stray wisp of her hair falling over her left eye as she studies Rand's face, silent for a long moment. A deep breath is drawn in and then released slowly, her fingers drifting up to brush the annoying hair back behind her ear as she begins to speak, "I said that I would do anything you want me to and I meant it, Rand. You've done more for me then I can ever thank you for."

Rand nods, the slightest of smiles slowly forming on his face. He holds out the envelope towards Brenna and says,'I need this delivered to my regent in Cairhien. Some of the information is dangerous if viewed by anyone else. So I need someone that I can trust to deliver it directly into her hands. Giving it to a servant to have it carried to her will not work.'

Brenna hmms softly as she looks down to the envelope a moment before lifting her hand and grasping it gently, "How soon would you like me to leave?" Her tongue darts between her full lips, running over and moistening them slowly as she awaits your answer.

Rand releases his grasp on the envelope, leaving it in Brenna's hand. He lowers his hand to his side and says,'I would like you to leave as soon as you are able. I can place you in the Sun Palace at a moment's notice, and return to pick you up within a few hours. I chose you because I trust you and because I doubt you will relent to a servant's protestations of protocol and will deliver it personally.' Something catches his attention out of the corner of his eye, and he turns to look at one of the maps again, one of Shienar. He frowns slightly and, with too much casualness, moves another map, one of Illian, on top of it, looking at the new map for a long moment as if studying it. He turns back and says,'Yes, as soon as possible. I would say this very moment, but I know you need to make arrangements for the children and tell your husband.'

Brenna nods her head slowly, eyes unfocusing for a moment as she seems to mull this over. "Aye.. I have to tell Byzel but arrangements are already made for the children." A soft smile touches her lips as she continues on, "We have hired a nurse for them, so someone is with them all the time." She takes the envelope and puts it right on the inside of her shirt, through the unfastened laces at the top. "I will be back within the hour and will have this in Zerani's hand within the next two. Can't say Zerani will be happy with me if i have to crack a few servant's heads though...", voice fading as a mischevious gleam appears in her eyes.

Rand frowns slightly,'I am afraid many people will be unhappy very soon.' He shakes his head as if clearing it and then refocuses on Brenna,'Wait for her response, be it written or spoken. I indicated in the letter that I trust you to carry a spoken response back to me.' He spreads his hands slightly and adds,'But I leave the choice up to her.'

"Aye.. I will not return until I have an answer for you. Maybe you would like to send someone with me though instead of you coming back." She shifts slightly, looking uncomfortable for a moment, "I mean.. I'm sure the Lord Dragon has other things that he needs to be doing other than shipping me back and forth." (Brenna)

Rand's brow furrows in thought for a long moment, then he nods. He says,'If I am detained, I will send one of the Asha'man to pick you up. If I can find one suitable quickly enough, I will send him with you to begin with.' Turning back towards the table, he mutters softly,'Too much to do..' His gaze hardens suddenly and he turns back to Brenna. In an urgent, hard tone he says,'Remember, protect the message. Make sure no one but the regent sees it. If anyone asks, you are going to arrange a time for an inspection of my forces there. If anyone suspected what this is about..' He shakes his head as if pure will can prevent that possibility,'Just be extremely careful.'

Brenna sighs softly, opening her mouth as if to speak and then changing her mind with a shake of her head. She simply nods and pats her chest where the message is hidden, offering a soft smile, "It will get to her, only if I am dead will she not get it."

Rand nods slowly, seeming still a little uneasy but less than before. He says in a tone that lacks most of its normal harshness,'Thank you, Brenna. Let me know as soon as you are ready to travel.' He lets out a soft sigh, looking very tired for the briefest of moments before straightening himself back up to perfect posture. He says,'On your way, could you tell the servant standing outside that I wish the chiefs and Bashere summoned?'

Brenna offers a soft smile and then nods her head, turning to walk from the room. She puts her hand on the knob and turns it but before walking from the room, she looks over her shoulder, "You know.. you should stop and see your god children sometime soon. They are both growing so fast." Without another word she turns and opens the door, closing it softly behind her.

Rand stares at the door through which Brenna exited for a long time, head cocked to the side and a thoughtful expression on his face. Finally, with a slight shake of his head, he turns around and moves aside the map of Illian so he can study the Shienar map again.
