Yesteray, Luciano Moggi met Bari GM Regalia to discuss the acquisitions of
Diego De Ascentis and Gianluigi Zambrotta.
According to Brazilian newspaper Extr�, Juve is offering 20 million dollars
for 20-year old Felipe of Vasco da Gama and 10 million dollars for Fabio
Junior of Cruzeiro. But Enrico Miranda, one of Vasco da Gama's top men,
said that he won't sell Felipe and that he will try to get back Edmundo
from Fiorentina in July. Meanwhile, Cruzueiro refused a 12-million dollar
offer from Palmeiras for Fabio Junior that included cash and players.
Vincenzo Montella won't arrive in January, since Enrico Mantovani promised
Sampdoria fans to keep him at least until the end of the year and Montella
himself wants to help Sampdoria salvage the current season (much like Igor
Kolyvanov did before leaving Foggia for Bologna).
Juventus might be willing to buy Carmine Esposito from Fiorentina (there is
also an interest from Olympiakos) and give him to Cagliari plus cash in
exchange for Roberto Muzzi. The same operation might be used also for
Pasquale Luiso [Vicenza] and Claudio Bellucci [Napoli].
Meanwhile, Juve officials have begun negotiations for 27-year old Dino
Baggio and have set an appointment with Ajax for the De Boers twins. Talks
for Jonathan Bachini are also on the good track.
Meanwhile, Juventus refused offers from Inter for Paolo Montero and from
Manchester United for Zinedine Zidane. Finally, Didier Deschamps is being
tempted by Arsenal.
