Tuttosport 10/12/98
According to Tuttosport, Carletto Ancelotti, Juve's "new" coach, has asked
his future team to buy Dino Baggio, who might replace Didier Deschamps
(Deschamps has received an offer from Arsenal: a 3-year contract worth 4
billion lire per season; Juve would receive 10 billion lire). Dino Baggio's
arrival is uncertain, since he was the first player sold by the new
management in 1994 and it wasn't a friendly parting.
Christophe Dugarry and Berger's stocks are rising, while Spanish sources
say that Darko Kovacevic will move to Juve: assistan coach Pezzotti has
already watched the player 5 times with his current team, Real Sociedad.
Three more players have been added to Juve's scouting list: 20-year old
forward Vedimir Ivanovic [Radnicki], 23-year old Vugrineg [Trabzonspor],
and Carmine Esposito [Fiorentina].
Gianpiero Ventrone has recently signed a 4-year contract with Juventus,
meaning that he won't follow Marcello Lippi to Inter. Another member of
Lippi's coaching staff, goalie coach Ivano Bordon, is considering remaining
in Turin.
