Alessandro Del Piero will be featured in Sting's upcoming video for the
motion picture "The Mighty", starring Sharon Stone. Del Piero will be a
sort of medieval knight.
Barcelona is expected to make a serious bid for Del Piero: the Spanish team
would give Juve 60 billion lire and an 8-year contract worth 7 billion lire
per season to the player. Counting taxes, etc., Barcelona would have to
invest a little less than 200 billion lire. Del Piero, OTOH, is ready to
discuss his contract extension with Juve until 2003 for 7 billion lire per
season.
Fabio Pecchia will only leave Juve for Perugia if the latter gives him
enough money. Juve will only loan the player and wants something back, such
as an option on Bucchi, but Perugia doesn't want to give a high salary to
Pecchia. Otherwise, Pecchia's preference is Sampdoria, since he doesn't
want to leave for London (West Ham).
Antonio Conte's situation is still undecided: something will be certain in
January.
