The following are teams that are pursuing Alex Del Piero: Arsenal (to replace Dennis Bergkamp), Manchester United, Newcastle, Barcelona (to replace Rivaldo), Real Madrid, and Lazio.
According to Spanish sources, Juventus is after 29-year old goalkeeper Antonio Jim�nez Sistachs Toni [Atletico Madrid]. Toni would replace the retiring Michelangelo Rampulla. Toni, whose contract expires in 2004, moved to Atletico Madrid this year from Espa�ol and had to replace local idol Molina (currently Toni's backup). Toni would gladly move away from Madrid considering Atletico's difficulties in the Liga, moreover he has the most
goals against in the league. Atletico Madrid has already bought a
replacement, 22-year old Sergio Sanchez from Sporting Gijon. Toni won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Summer Games in Barcelona and was voted twice best goalkeeper in Spain. Toni is also part of the Spanish National team.
Juventus, though, has already optioned 20-year old Michael Landrau of Nantes for the future.
