Nicolas Anelka, after his agents met with Roberto Bettega the other day
(Bettega had offered Lit 60 billion plus Thierry Henry), sent a fax to Juve
stating his reasons why he doesn't want to go to Turin and prefers Lazio.
The reasons are:
i) Juventus won't take part to next year's Champions League; Lazio does.
ii) Anelka considers Lazio a better team than Juve.
iii) He doesn't like Turin and prefers Rome.
iiii) Because his French collegues from Juve told him that the atmosphere
isn't good at Juve.
Anelka's FIFA agent, Vincenzo Morabito, revealed the fax's content to the
press.
Meanwhile, Lazio will try to use Alen Boksic as trade bait. Sergio
Cragnotti dined last night with Boksic to convince him to go to Arsenal.
Roberto Bettega, who is good friends with Arsenal manager Dean, was
surprised of these comments, but said that it's the teams that make a deal,
not the players. He added that Arsenal and Juventus are in continuous
contact, because the London team is interested in Juve players.
Luciano Moggi denied both the rumor regarding Edgar Davids moving to
Manchester United and that Juve was after Anelka. Moggi said that it's
Anelka who asked for Juve, not the other way around.
Juve sold Patrick Mller to Grasshoppers.
Juve's next friendly will be Monday against the same team in St. Vincent.
The match will be televised by Raidue.
