Luciano Moggi said that Juve will likely play its Intertoto home games
across Italy. Juve's training camp is set for July 1st, with National team
players joining the group a week later.
Inter has offered Lit 80 billion [41 million; $48 million] for Christian
Vieri, but Juve might offer something better: Alessandro Del Piero. There
are two problems with this trade: 1) Vieri is a mercenary that has changed
8 teams in 7 years and will probably ask a yearly wage of around Lit 7
billion [3.6 million; $4.2 million]; 2) Del Piero's physical conditions
are yet to be determined.
Even though Nicolas Anelka has promised himself to Real Madrid, raging his
Arsenal managers, Juve is still after him, dreaming of a possible
Anelka-Vieri duo.
Milan Rapaic has said to his Croatian teammates that he will play for
Juventus next season. Atletico Madrid and Inter are interested in him, but
Juve will offer Lit 15 billion [7.7 million; $9 million] plus Alessandro
Birindelli. Juve is still interested in Darko Kovacevic.
Martin Djetou's arrival has been delayed, since he's playing with France's
B team against Germany this week. With Djetou, Mark Iuliano will be sold.
Iuliano has received an offer from Milan, but it's unlikely that Juve will
sell him to a Serie A team. Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger scouted Gianluca
Pessotto last Monday in Juventus-Udinese. To replace him, Juve is following
Silvinho [Corinthians] and Michel Salgado [Celta Vigo].
Carlo Ancelotti has refused Jonathan Bachini [Udinese], saying that he
already has too many wingers. Meanwhile, O'Brien, acquired as a free agent
from Middlesbrough, will join Juve for at least the first part of the
season. He has passed his physicals and might be loaned to another team in
November.
To replace Didier Deschamps, there are three names: Flavio Conceiao
[Deportivo La Corua], Luigi Di Biagio [Roma], and Giuliano Giannichedda
[Udinese].
Gianluca Pessotto left the National team due to a problem to his knee: he
was replaced by his Juventus teammate Angelo Di Livio.
