Filippo Inzaghi is sponsoring his brother Simone to Luciano Moggi, saying
that the young Inzaghi is potentially better than SuperPippo and that it
wouldn't help Juve to see him go to another top Italian team (Milan and
Fiorentina above all). Piacenza is asking Lit 25 billion [�13 million; $15
million] for Simone Inzaghi.
Simone Inzaghi's name is only one of many that Juve is interested in:
Roberto Muzzi [Cagliari] is almost a done deal, while there is the new
rumor about Enrico Chiesa [Parma]: he doesn't get along well with coach
Alberto Malesani and was offered to Fiorentina, but he refused. Borussia
Dortmund has made an offer for him, but Chiesa would rather stay in Italy.
The price is around Lit 30 billion [�15 million; $18 million].
Parma president Stefano Tanzi said that Hernan Crespo is off the market,
but it's everybody's feeling that he will change his mind if Parma either
gets Martin Palermo [Boca Juniors] or Marcelo Salas [Lazio].
Arsenal is asking for Lit 65 billion [�34 million; $39 million] for Nicolas
Anelka, prompting Real Madrid to look elsewhere: Mario Jardel [P�rto].
Juve is still interested in Darko Kovacevic [Real Sociedad], but Atletico
Madrid and Real Madrid are also out for him, meaning that the base price of
Lit 25 billion could only go higher.
Last forward-related rumor: Marco Delvecchio said that he is willing to
leave Roma for a team such as Juventus. Roma president Franco Sensi is
asking for Lit 25 billion, but Delvecchio can be bought for "only" Lit 20
billion [�10 million; $12 million]. Moggi denied any interest in Delvecchio.
For the defensive corps, nothing is certain, but at least a new defender
will be bought. It probable comes down to either Martin Djetou [Monaco] or
Walter Samuel [Boca Juniors]. Djetou's price is Lit 25 billion, while Boca
Juniors is asking Lit 15 billion [�7.7 million; $9 million]. If Samuel is
bought, then Igor Tudor will most probably be loaned.
Juve will probably leave Roberto Carlos where he is right now due to its
expensive price, even though Real Madrid has made an offer of Lit 100
billion [�52 million; $60 million] for Zinedine Zidane and Edgar Davids.
Juve seems more interested in 26-year old Paolo Vanoli, who will probably
leave since Parma has bought Michele Serena.
If Juve won't get Flavio Concei�ao [Deportivo La Coru�a], it will try to
get Dino Baggio [Parma], although he seems more likely to go to Chelsea.
Juve's alternative is Juan Gomez [Real Sociedad].
Beppe Furino represented Juventus for its triumph in the 1984 Cup Winners'
Cup in the ceremony that was held at Villa Park in Birmingham before
Lazio-Mallorca.
Ciro Ferrara won't be available for Sunday's game due to a contracture,
while Daniel Fonseca didn't train due to tendinitis.
