Tomorrow, Dr. Quaglia will perform diagnostic arthroscopy on Angelo
Peruzzi's left knee to see how badly damaged the cartilage is. It is very
probable that Peruzzi will have surgery immediately afterwards to quicken
his recovery time. Obviously, this would mean that Peruzzi's season is over.
Juventus, against Bari, will be without Mark Iuliano, Filippo Inzaghi,
Didier Deschamps, Zinedine Zidane, Juan Eduardo Esnaider, and Peruzzi.
Bari will be without midfielder Diego De Ascentis and defender Rachid Neqrouz.
Although Luciano Moggi said that there shouldn't be any problems, Del
Piero's agent, Claudio Pasqualin, said there is a huge difference on the
economic part, not including Juve's demand to use Del Piero's image as it
wishes. Tuesday, Moggi and Pasqualin will meet.
Due to the conflict in Yugoslavia, Bari's airport is closed to charter
flights, so Juve will have to land in Grottaglie (Taranto) and go to Bari
on bus. The return flight will be from Foggia.
