Gianluca Vialli has sued Zdenek Zeman for Lit. 5 billion lire (� 2.6
million; $ 3 million) for this summer's doping scandal.
Sources from Spain say that Atletico Madrid has never offered 14 billion
lire per season (� 7.2 million; $ 8.5 million) to Alessandro Del Piero,
simply because the team and its owner, Jesus Gil y Gil, don't have that
kind of money.
Zinedine Zidane has received offers from Manchester United, Barcelona, and
Real Madrid (in exchange for Clarence Seedorf).
In case either Del Piero or Filippo Inzaghi leave (the latter has received
offers from Roma), Juventus will try to get Vincenzo Montella. Montella has
always said that he will leave Sampdoria only if it will be relegated, but
Juve's pressure might change his mind.
Another player being followed is Hernan Crespo, a pupil of Carletto
Ancelotti's ever since the coach's stint at Parma.
Juve, though, is far more close in obtaining 21-year old defender Walter
Adrian Samuel of Boca Juniors than Crespo.
Both Antonio Conte and Angelo Di Livio will discuss contract extensions
with Luciano Moggi, with Di Livio hoping to get a contract extension until
2001 so he can close his career in black and white.
Both Paolo Montero and Zidane won't play against Lazio in order to have
them fully fit for Manchester United.
