After the game against Manchester United, Carletto Ancelotti said that he
gambled with his lineup, since he needed to revive Juventus. He said that,
if he had lost in Manchester, everyone would call him a coward, since he
only played Filippo Inzaghi up front. Instead, his players believed in him
and played an almost perfect game.
Meanwhile, Ciro Ferrara is angry since he believed that he would have
started against Manchester United, instead only played part of the second
half because Paolo Montero got injured. Ferrara spoke with Luciano Moggi,
saying that he doesn't deserve this treatment, since he played with one leg
for this team in the past. It is true that, with the coaching change,
players such as Ferrara, Alessandro Birindelli, and Igor Tudor find less
space, with other players such as Antonio Conte, Didier Deschamps, Angelo
Di Livio, and Zoran Mirkovic, getting more playing time ever since Marcello
Lippi resigned.
Conte, in an interview, once again expressed his gratituted to Ancelotti by
saying that he would break both legs for the new coach.
