Today, Juventus will be without Zinedine Zidane [1-match ban] and Angelo
Peruzzi [knee problem]. Carlo Ancelotti will field Juan Eduardo Esnaider
alongside Filippo Inzaghi, even though the Argentine has yet to score in
426 minutes. Ancelotti will also field Thierry Henry in the left side of
midfield, in a position similar to Beppe Signori's in the 1994 World Cup,
when Ancelotti was Arrigo Sacchi's assistant.
Fabio Pecchia, who was loaned earlier this season to Sampdoria, expects
Juve to play an open game, meaning that players such as Ariel Ortega,
Vincenzo Montella, and Francesco Palmieri will find a lot of space. Pecchia
also said that it's too early to discuss his future with Juventus.
Trade news : Luciano Moggi has made an official request for Mario Jardel,
offering 25 billion lire [ 13 million, $ 15 million] to Porto and offering
the player a 4-year contract. Moggi has even offered Esnaider, although the
Argentine doesn't want to leave Juventus just yet.
According to La Stampa, Juventus has *officially* bought for next season
Corrado Colombo [Atalanta], O'Brian [Middlesbrough], Pier Giorgio Regonesi
[Atalanta], and Gianluca Zambrotta [Bari].
