Cannavaro Admits Juventus Is Dream Option

Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro has fuelled speculation he will quit struggling Parma by admitting he would relish a move to Juventus. "Who would not want to wear the black and white jersey?" he asked.
Last week, Cannavaro attempted to shrug off speculation linking him with a summer move to Juventus by insisting he will stay with the Gialloblu even if they are relegated.
But, on Tuesday, he told Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday that he would love to follow former team-mates Lilian Thuram and Gianluigi Buffon to Juventus.
"I would have no problems moving there," he said. "I have lots of friends there - Buffon, Ciro Ferrara. Juventus is Juventus. It's the club that has won the most trophies in Italy."
Cannavaro, however, added that nothing has been decided yet - and won't be until Parma's relegation battle is decided one way or the other. "Only then I will meet with the Tanzi family and decide my future. Together, as always."
The 28-year-old Neapolitan almost left for Lazio in the summer when the Rome club offered 16 million plus Paolo Negro. Parma rebuffed the advances of Lazio, who went on to sign Holland defender Jaap Stam from Manchester United.
Roma and AC Milan have also been among the Serie A giants recently linked with Cannavaro but suggestions that Parma would cash in on the 22 million-rated centre-back during the transfer window in January proved wide of the mark.
Juventus have been linked with both Cannavaro and his Italy team-mate Alessandro Nesta, but Cannavaro last week refused to discuss the possibility of joining the Turin club.
"I have a contract with Parma and I'm not worried about the idea of playing one season in Serie B," he said.
