11/28/1999. Juventus and Lazio tied 0-0 in Rome's Olympic Stadium on Sunday night, thereby allowing AS Roma, who defeated Udinese 2-0 earlier on Sunday, to join them at the top of the Serie A standings.

Lazio was very cautious throughout the game, lacking the confidence they displayed before their derby debacle, and yielded the run of play to Juventus throughout the ninety minutes.

The greatest dangerous for the Roman side came in the second half, when Ancelotti's boys applied a constant offensive pressure on Lazio. The biggest of these arrived in the 55th minute when Zambrotta picked up a rebounded Del Piero shot with Marchegiani on the ground, and missed the wide open net.

The other chances came on free kicks that the Lazio goal keeper never needed to make a save on, as either they hit the wall or they went over the crossbar. "It's a point that can only partially make us happy. The important thing is that we are finding continuity in our season," commented Juventus coach Carlo Ancelotti.
