MARSEILLE, France, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Zinedine Zidane and his boyhood hero Enzo Francescoli will play together for the first time in a testimonial at the Velodrome next month for former Olympique Marseille midfielder Bernard Pardo.

Marseille-born Zidane, who as a boy watched the Uruguayan World Cup midfielder play for Marseille from the Velodrome terraces in the 1980s, named his son Enzo after Francescoli.

The pair have met just once on the pitch, on opposite sides when the Frenchman's Juventus played River Plate of Argentina in the World Club Cup final in Tokyo in 1996. Juventus won 1-0. The December 20 testimonial for Pardo will be between a Marseille side of mostly past players and a Rest of the World team.

Eric Cantona, Jean Tigana, Emilio Butragueno, Laurent Blanc, Chris Waddle, Jean-Pierre Papin, Alen Boksic, Marcel Desailly and Fabien Barthez are expected to play.
