Juventus want to hold their UEFA Cup tie with Olympiakos in Palermo.
The Turin club have regularly ventured away from their Delle Alpi home during the past three years. They have a national support with millions of fans in the south of Italy.
The Sicilian capital will hold the game as Juve campaign to have their present ground demolished. The city council refused permission for that plan in a narrow vote last week but the club - who share the ground with Torino who have been granted permission to develop a new stadium - want to leave the Alpi stadium which can only attract around 8,000 fans for most European matches with the club's fans being based well away from Turin.
