Rough Draw Between Juventus and Torino

11/07/1999. The first derby in over three and a half years between Juventus and Torino ended in a goal-less draw on Sunday night. The game never really took of on a spectacular level as both teams where more concerned with beating up the other side rather than trying to construct some important scoring opportunities.

Nine players were booked, and Davids and Lentini were sent off in the final minutes of the game. The only real shot of the match was struck after 20 minutes by Torino forward Ferrante, but Van Der Sar was able to miraculously save the ball aimed for the ninety degree corner of the net.

In the second half Zidane tried to apply some magic, but his attempts were all thwarted before he could get a shot off on goal. With this result Juventus maintains its second slot in the standings, but is now three points behind leaders Lazio, who crushed Verona 4-0 earlier in the day.
