ROME, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Lazio moved three clear at the top of Serie A on Sunday as second-placed Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw with Torino in an ill-tempered 215th Turin derby.
Juventus, trailing Lazio by a single point at the start of the day, had Edgar Davids dismissed in the 89th minute and the Dutchman will miss their next match with AC Milan.
Lazio, inspired by a superb Sebastian Veron, were never troubled in a 4-0 home win over Verona. After nine matches, Lazio have 21 points, ahead of Juventus (18), Milan (17) and AS Roma (16).
AC Milan defeated Venezia 3-0 at the San Siro and AS Roma won with four first-half goals at Reggina as both sides kept pace with Lazio.
Inter Milan dropped to sixth place after a 3-0 defeat at Bologna that left Marcello Lippi's team with just one point from their last four matches.
Fifth-placed Parma continued their climb back up the table with a 2-1 win at Piacenza thanks to first-half goals from Argentine Hernan Crespo and France's Alain Boghossian.
The first Turin derby in three years never lived up to its billing, with 10 players shown yellow cards. Davids was dismissed in the 89th minute for a second bookable offence, followed shortly after by Torino's Gianluigi Lentini. The match's best
chances fell to Juve's Filippo Inzaghi and Torino's Vincenzo Sommese in the first half.
Sommese's 24th-minute chip was brilliantly tipped over by Juve's Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, while Inzaghi headed wide with the goal at his mercy on the half-hour.
