ROME (AP) -- Zinedine Zidane curled in a free kick for his first goal in 10 months Sunday night, lifting Juventus to a 1-0 victory at AS Roma that put the Turin club in a tie for second place and prevented the previously unbeaten hosts from moving atop the Serie A standings.
France's World Cup hero spun the ball over the wall of Roma defenders and past flat-footed goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli in the 51st minute to give Juventus its first win at Olympic Stadium since 1991.
Zidane, whose last Serie A goal came against Perugia in January, was ejected in the closing seconds for arguing with the referee after receiving a yellow card for diving in the penalty area.
The victory improved Juve's record to 4-1-1 for 13 points, the same total as Internazionale of Milan, which entered the weekend in first place but was upset 1-0 by Venezia on Filippo Maniero's goal a minute into the second half.
Both clubs trail league leader Lazio, which won 3-0 at Udinese on Saturday, by one point.
Roma is alone in fourth place, with 11 points.
The losses by Roma and Inter left Lazio and Milan as the 18-team league's only undefeated clubs.
In other games Sunday, it was: Lecce 2, Reggina 1; AC Milan 2, Cagliari 2; Piacenza 0, Bologna 0; Torino 3, Bari 1; and Verona 2, Perugia 0.
