ROME (September 7, 1999 3:09 p.m. EDT http://www.sportserver.com) - Juventus striker Filippo Inzaghi has told his agents to file a complaint to Italy's soccer federation about a claim by Bari coach Eugenio Fascetti that he has a gift for winning penalties.
Fascetti, in an aside during a discussion on Monday about players who dive in the area to earn penalties, was quoted as saying: "Inzaghi gets a fair few in Italy, but when he goes abroad he doesn't get so many."
The comments were dismissed at the time by Juventus director general Luciano Moggi.
But Inzaghi decided on Tuesday to counter-attack, issuing a statement via his agent Tullio Tinti that he wanted a complaint filed with the soccer federation, saying Fascetti had cast a slur on the player's reputation.
Inzaghi, who will be leading the attack for Italy in Wednesday's Euro 2000 qualifier against Denmark, also reserved the right to take legal action against the Bari coach.
