LUQUE, Paraguay (July 5, 1999 7:45 p.m. EDT http://www.sportserver.com) - Uruguay's Copa America striker Marcelo Zalayeta confirmed Monday he would return to Italian giants Juventus after the South American tournament is over.
Zalayeta, 20, was loaned by the Bianconeri last season to Empoli, who were relegated to Serie B but the forward is determined to win a first team place with the deposed Italian champions.
The striker scored both of his side's goals in the 2-1 Group C victory over Ecuador Sunday night.
