TURIN, Italy (June 29, 1999 10:01 a.m. EDT http://www.sportserver.com) - Alessandro Del Piero has signed an extension to his contract with Juventus, the club announced Tuesday.
Del Piero's new deal ties him to the Bianconeri until June 2005.
Signed from Padova at the age of 17, Del Piero has been the darling of the Juve fans since his arrival but was earlier this year linked with a big money move to Atletico Madrid or Lazio as negotiations on a new contract stalled.
