Ajax's Oliseh Headed to Juve, not Roma

ROME (June 21, 1999 8:41 p.m. EDT http://www.sportserver.com) - Ajax Amsterdam's Nigerian international midfielder Sunday Oliseh confirmed Monday he had chosen to join Juventus rather than AS Roma.
Oliseh denied claims by Roma president Franco Sensi that he had given a verbal commitment to join the capital outfit.
Oliseh told Radio Radio: "I chose Juventus because for me it is the best solution but I can not tell you the exact reasons at the moment."
Referring to Sensi's claims that the Bianconeri had gazumped Roma, Oliseh commented: "When I give my word I keep it. I simply told him that I needed a bit of time to reflect. No one can decide where I should go without my agreement."
