TURIN, Italy, May 21 (Reuters) - France's World Cup captain Didier Deschamps announced on Friday he was leaving top Italian side Juventus after five seasons with the club.
"The club have known for some time that I wanted a change...I made up my mind several months ago," the 31-year-old midfielder told reporters. "I realised it would be better to move on and keep my
enthusiasm alive."
Deschamps, who has not played in several recent matches, did not say what he planned to do next.
Juventus are lying sixth in Serie A with 51 points with one match to go.
