Zidane May Need Surgery

TURIN, Italy -- Juventus playmaker Zinedine Zidane, World Footballer of the Year, will miss the rest of the Serie A season with a knee injury and may need an operation, ANSA news agency reported on Friday.
It said the Frenchman would travel to Strasbourg to seek advice from a trusted doctor on the injury, which he picked up in a European Cup match in Athens in March.
He might then undergo surgery to remove a fragment of bone from his right knee, the agency said.
Zidane has missed several recent Serie A matches for Juventus, who have three matches left to play.
