Dynamo, Juve, United and Bayern Reach European Cup Semis

LONDON, March 17 (Reuters) - Holders Real Madrid were knocked out of the European Cup on Wednesday when Dynamo Kiev beat them 2-0 in the second leg of the quarter-final to win 3-1 on aggregate.

Andriy Shevchenko, who scored Kiev's goal in the 1-1 draw in Madrid in the first leg, was Kiev's hero again scoring both goals in the second half, the first from the rebound after his penalty kick was saved.

Last year's beaten finalists Juventus saved themselves from defeat at Olympiakos when captain Antonio Conte scored five minutes from time to force a 1-1 draw and give the Italians a narrow 3-2 aggregate win.

The semifinal lineup will be completed by Manchester United, who drew 1-1 at Inter Milan for a 3-1 aggregate win and Bayern Munich, who trounced Bundesliga rivals Kaiserslautern 4-0 away for a 6-0 aggregate victory.

Olympiakos seemed to be ending Juventus's hopes of a fourth successive European Cup final when they led the Italians 1-0 for most of the match thanks to a 12th minute goal from Sinica Gogic. But with the aggregate score 2-2 and Juve going out on the away goals rule, Conte struck to give Juve a 3-2 aggregate win.

Nicola Ventola scored Inter's goal midway through the second half but United killed off their hopes of a recovery when substitute Paul Scholes equalised two minutes from the end. It was the first time United had eliminated an Italian side from the knockout stages of European competition in 42 years.

Bayern Munich sailed through against Kaiserslautern with second leg goals from Carsten Jancker (2), a penalty from Steffen Effenberg and a second half strike from Mario Basler. Kaiserslautern made life difficult for themselves by having Janos Hrutka sent off after only eight minutes.
