Juventus Get Esnaider With Improved Bid
BARCELONA, Spain, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Espanyol have reached an agreement with Juventus to sell striker Juan Esnaider, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
Alfred Torras, an Espanyol vice-president, said Esnaider would sign a five-year contract with the Italians but did not reveal the transfer fee being paid. Espanyol had already turned down a bid of $5 million for the Argentine striker, who is expected to undergo a medical in Turin on Friday morning before being presented to the media.
Esnaider has also played for Real Madrid, Real Zaragoza and Atletico Madrid since arriving in Spain from Ferrocarril in 1990. He scored 13 goals in 24 starts last season.
