PARMA, Italy (Sep 26, 1998 - 16:13 EDT) - His injured knee flaring up again, Juventus star Zinedine Zidane was set to miss Saturday night's Serie A clash with Parma.

The trouble started two weeks ago when France's World Cup hero took a bad knock on his right knee against Perugia. He had barely recovered when he was hit on the same place a week later against Cagliari.

Although Zidane was optimistic of recovering in time, the bruising worsened on Friday and he was forced to take a fitness test on Saturday.

"It's much better now, but it's hard to see him being available to play tonight," Team doctor Riccardo Agricola told AFP.

"But he should be alright for next Wednesday," he said, referring to their European Champions League tie away to Rosenborg Trondheim.

Parma's ground is unlucky for the French playmaker; in his two previous visits, Zidane was sent off as Juventus slumped to defeat and had an awful game as it struggled for a draw.
