TURIN, Italy (Aug 18, 1998 - 11:18 EDT) - Juventus' French midfielder Didier Deschamps and the team's former doctor Pasquale Bergamo were interviewed by a state prosecutor on Tuesday over drugs claims in Italian soccer.

The two men are the latest to be questioned by magistrate Raffaele Guariniello, who on Monday spoke to Gianluca Vialli and on Friday to Alessandro Del Piero about their training methods.

Guariniello's enquiry follows a drugs warning from AS Roma coach Zdenek Zeman, who expressed his amazement at the muscles on Del Piero and Vialli, who are current and former Juventus idols.

Deschamps, captain of World Cup winners France and who joined the Turin club in 1994, spent 90 minutes with the judge.

Guariniello is believed to have been following up a newspaper interview in which Deschamps claimed that a Juventus player's career is a short one.
