Gaddafi's Son Trains With Juventus
TURIN, Italy (Reuters) - Al-Saadi Gaddafi, the son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has trained with the Juventus first team according to the club's official website.
Al-Saadi, who supports Juventus, trained with the first team after having lunch with Juventus honorary president Gianni Agnelli.
The 28-year-old also took part in a four-a-side practice match alongside the likes of defender Ciro Ferrara while coach Marcello Lippi looked on.
The Libyan government bought 5.3 per cent in the Turin-based club in January through the Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company and Al-Saadi said at the time it wanted to increase its stake in the Serie A giants to 20 per cent.
Al-Saadi, who has played for the Libyan national team, was on the verge of playing in Serie A two years ago with Perugia.
