Ferrara Hopes To See Out Career At Juve

Juventus veteran Ciro Ferrara hopes to prolong his career at the Stadio delle Alpi, if he remains a part of coach Marcello Lippi's plans. "I haven't spoken to the club about my contract extension, but I want to end my career here," he said.
"I would like to stay here even once I'm done playing, but not as a manager, that's for sure."
The former Italy international, who joined Juve from his hometown club Napoli in 1994, has not been a regular in the Juve side this season, but has stood out when called upon, scoring three times in nine Serie A appearances.
"I'm 35 but I still have a great appetite to win," he said. "It depends on your character. This year I'm scoring a lot and I should probably have a bonus clause in my contract for each goal I score!"
Ferrara is also delighted to see his side back in the hunt for the scudetto after a run of five straight Serie A wins that has seen them climb to within three points of leaders Roma.
"We know we are back in with a chance," he said. "We will carry on like this, and we know we are on the right path. The defence are not conceding goals, but that is thanks to the whole team."
