Cragnotti Looks To Juve For Model Success

Thursday 31st January 2002

Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti believes his club has to be run along the lines of Juventus if it is to be consistently successful.

"They have the same men behind the scenes year-in, year out. The players and coach might change but the sports staff stay the same. That's what I want to do here," he said.

Cragnotti is to organise a meeting involving all the coaching staff, players and directors in a bid to make sure everyone is pulling together in a difficult season.

"We should work together to get our confidence back," he said.

The Lazio chief also claimed it was too early to judge coach Alberto Zaccheroni, who took over from Dino Zoff earlier this season.

"He has had many players injured, so it is wrong to judge him now. He will be Lazio coach next season. If necessary, though, there will be a revolution in the squad."
