Juventus Open Fiore Talks
TURIN, January 5 (DS) - Juventus FC do not seem to have given up their intentions to sign River Plate midfielder Andres D'Alessandro, on the other hand however, La Vecchia Signora expressed their interest in S.S. Lazio and Italy midfielder Stefano Fiore. The player's agent Pastorello confirmed the negotiations are being held.
"Oviously Fiore isn't having his best times with Lazio. He would like to start more games, especially to have a World Cup chance. I've read that Leeds and Manchester United are rumoured to chase Stefano, however no official approaches were made. On the other hand, Juventus and Parma are keen on signing him and have already spoken with Cragnotti. Fiore is a good player and he needs to play in a good team, no matter if it's an Italian or foreign side," the agent said.
The relations between the player and the club's chairman are believed to be rather tense, and the move may come just in time.
