Moggi A Cool Cat Over Juventus Transfer Arrivals
TURIN, Italy, Dec 27 (AFP) - Enigmatic Juventus director general Luciano Moggi said Thursday his club would not be active in the January transfer market, which opens on January 2 before closing on January 31.
Moggi, who is known to be well versed in the art of psychological warfare, insisted that Juventus already had enough playing resources to succeed this season.
"We don't need anyone," said Moggi. "Do you want us to win our next match 8-0? Is our 4-0 win over Brescia (last Sunday) not good enough for you? If we bought anyone it would make a mockery of the championship. "I don't see why we need to buy anyone when we are fine as we are."
Juve have been linked with several players - notably Verona's Romanian forward Adrian Mutu, Udinese striker Roberto Muzzi and Perugia's Greek hitman Zisis Vryzas.
