Trezeguet Backs Viera's Move To Juve

TURIN, December 4 (DS) - Juventus and France defender David Trezeguet brought up the issue of Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira's possible move to the Turin side in his interview with the Italian daily Gazzetta dello sport. The French international said: "Patrick inquired me about Juventus. Lilian (Thuram) and me advised him to join the team. We revealed him the advantages of such a move. Patrick is a great player and I'm sure he'll be happy here. But I believe Zidane is also willing to tempt him to join Real Madrid. Well, we can't but wait and see which way he chooses. Though, of course, Arsen Wenger will have the last word concerning the transfer." The French international was pretty much disappointed last season when his team failed to claim any trophy and he hinted he would like to join a more demanding side. Meanwhile Arsenal coach Wenger ruled out his transfer, claiming: "Not a single team will consider selling their best player." Viera has been playing at Arsenal since 1996.
