Midfield: The Heel Of Achilles For Juventus
TURIN, November 6 (DS) - Six matches with no win: Juventus had never seen
anything like that, La Stampa muses. Is it the same old, kind Juventus,
about which it was said in summer that the team will be in a rage during the
Italian championship? While, the not-so-impressing play and the same as play
results brought the team to crisis.
In Europe Juventus held on in the meantime but at home championship after
the first three games the team began to give in. The match against
Hellas-Verona FC turned to be especially unsuccessful. The team performed a
play that cost absolutely nothing and were satisfied with the draw, gained
in the last minute.
At present the team seem to be not in their best form, like a year ago, when
they had two points more than now, and dropped out from the Champions
League. Now their defence is considered to be the heel of Achilles for
Juventus. This was the club executive director's announcement.
"We have some problems and all of them are connected with midfield. The day
before yesterday we lost just another game, however we earned the draw,
obtained it in the last minute, as we led a massive attack at the end of the
game. But it is not enough. We must play much more better," said the
executive director.
He also clarified the situation with Pavel Nedved.
"What can I say about Nedved? He isn't yet in his best form. The same is
with Davids. That is why we have significant problems in the midfield."
