Juventus Target Beckham As Zidane's Replacement
ROME, Sept 14 (AFP)
Italian giants Juventus are set to make a bid to bring England playmaker and captain David Beckham to the club next season it was reported by the Corriere dello Sport here Friday.
The 28-year-old Manchester United star, whose contract runs with the club till June 2003, is seen by the Italians as the perfect replacement for Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, who was sold to Real Madrid for a world record 65 million dollars in the summer.
