AC Milan Sign Inzaghi From Juventus
MILAN, July 2 (Reuters)(DS) - AC Milan have signed Italy international striker Filippo Inzaghi from Serie A rivals Juventus, Milan announced on Monday.
Milan's official website said Inzaghi had signed a five-year contract with the club and that Christian Zenoni had moved to Juventus in part-exchange.
No details of the transfer fee were given but media reports had put Milan's offer at 60 billion lire ($26.20 million) for the 27-year-old striker.
Inzaghi joined Juventus in the summer of 1997 after becoming top scorer in Serie A with 24 goals for Atalanta.
But after establishing himself as Alessandro Del Piero's strike partner, he lost his place towards the end of last season to Frenchman David Trezeguet.
Zenoni leaves Milan without having played a game for the club -- he signed from Atalanta last month after the season had concluded.
