Signori Keen On Juventus Switch

Veteran forward Giuseppe Signori cast doubt over his future with Bologna on Thursday by angling for a move to Serie A runners-up Juventus. "Last season Marcello Lippi wanted me at Inter so he might fancy me for Juve," he said.
Signori wants to play for a team at the top end of the table rather than one that finished tenth last term. "I will not stay at Bologna if I have to struggle against relegation until the last match of the season," he warned.
"I could find a place for myself in a team with big players like Alessandro Del Piero and Zinedine Zidane."
But the former Italy international did not entirely rule out remaining at the Dall'Ara. "I have talked with president Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara and he has explained the project to me.
"He has interesting plans but I want to see something concrete before I agree to stay," Signori explained.
The most prolific Italian striker of the 1990s, Signori was Serie A top scorer on three occasions 1993, 1994 and 1996 during a golden spell at Lazio.
He was dubbed 'SuperBeppe' at the Rome club but first made his name with Foggia, where he was part of the side that won promotion to Serie A in 1991.
Signori moved to Lazio in 1992 and went on to score 107 league goals in six seasons at the Stadio Olimpico. From there, he went to Sampdoria in 1998, but failed to find his feet, scoring only three goals in 17 matches.
The stocky striker was rejuvenated at Bologna, where he scored 15 times in the 1998-99 campaign, and the goals have continued to flow.
