Inzaghi Speculation Rejected By Real President

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a move for Juventus star Filippo Inzaghi after Italian newspapers claimed the forward was poised for a move to the Bernabeu. "It is totally untrue," said the big-spending supremo.
Reports suggested that the international would be in Madrid for a medical over the next few days, but Perez said: "He won't be coming to Real Madrid and we haven't talked about him."
Sports director Jorge Valdano added that the fragile Italian did not fit into his game-plan. "Every country has players to sell but Real have nothing to say about Pippo Inzaghi.
"I have been defending my football philosophy for 20 years and Inzaghi does not come into my plans."
Neither Real official was prepared to discuss a proposed bid for Juve playmaker Zinedine Zidane, but the Turin club's vice-president Roberto Bettega declared that the Frenchman was not for sale.
"The player will stay with us for another four years. Stories about a possible move to Madrid are just rumours," he said.
