Zidane Predicts Future Glory For Marseille

France superstar Zinedine Zidane is certain that newly-appointed managing director Bernard Tapie will bring success back to his home-town club Marseille. "I'm convinced they'll be in the final of the Champions' League within the next five years," predicted Zidane.
The Juventus midfielder, who was born in Marseille before he was snapped up by Cannes as a youngster, still has strong links with the town and is sure they are moving in the right direction.
"I'm just happy to see Marseille filling their stadium once again," claimed the 28-year-old. "The return of Tapie is a good thing, and I'm convinced they'll be in the final of the Champions' League within the next five years."
Tapie, who was appointed as managing director in earlier this month, ended his first spell at the club in 1994 after being banned from all sports activities back.
It was under Tapie's leadership that Marseille won the 1993 Champions' League final. But that win was sullied a year later by revelations that Tapie had bribed teams in order for Marseille to win Le Championnat in 1992.
