It's Not Over Yet, insists Ancelotti

Monday 2nd April 2001

Juventus coach Carlo Ancelotti has refused to give up hope of winning the Scudetto despite seeing his side held by Brescia after Juve old-boy Roberto Baggio struck with five minutes remaining to earn the relegation strugglers a point.

"I talked with my players and obviously everything is now more difficult, but last year we were in the same position as Roma are now," Ancelotti said.

"We have to believe and to keep playing. It's true that in the second half we didn't play as well as in the first. Maybe we were too confident that we were going to win.

"I took off Zidane because he didn't have to play. He had the flu, but I had to risk him. At the end he really couldn't play and asked to come off.

"Now we have to react to this. I'm just happy about Gianluca Zambrotta who showed us he is in good form. As for the defence - we played well for 85 minutes."
