We Need Roma to Slip Up, Says Inzaghi
Friday 2nd March 2001
Juventus striker Filippo Inzaghi is urging his team to keep their winning
run going at Udinese on Sunday, but admits that they are now dependent on
Roma slipping up.
The Italy forward has been nursing a leg injury this week, but will be fit
in time for Sunday's game and he insists he has not yet given up hope of
clinching the title.
"We are going to fight until the last minute of every match, that's clear.
But we know we need a bit of help from Roma," admitted Inzghi.
"If they continue to play so well and to win then we cannot win the
Scudetto. We just have to concentrate on winning our games, but it's easier
to be out in front.
"But the biggest problem for us is that we have one point more than this
time last season but are still six points behind Roma. That shows how well
they are doing."
