Capello, Moggi Face Disciplinary Hearings
ROME (February 22, 2001 12:10 p.m. EST http://www.sportserver.com) - Juventus director general Luciano Moggi and AS Roma
coach Fabio Capello were on Thursday both referred to the professional game's
disciplinary committee.
The move comes following a war of words when Moggi suggested Capello's side
had benefited from dubious refereeing decisions during Sunday's 1-0 victory
over Lecce.
In his reply Capello, a former Juventus player, repeated the often asserted
but never proven conspiracy theory in Italian soccer that it is the Turin
side that is the usual beneficiary of controversial decisions by officials.
