Dortmund Confirm $7.3 Million Oliseh Deal
BERLIN, June 6 (Reuters)(DS) - German first division Borussia Dortmund confirmed on Tuesday Nigeria's midfield captain Sunday Oliseh was joining them from Juventus.
Oliseh signed a five-year contract with the 1997 European champions for a transfer fee of around 15 million German marks ($7.3 million). The 25-year-old failed to make much of an impression in his one season at Juventus.
He made 19 appearances, mostly in the pre-season Intertoto Cup and the Italian Cup, scoring just one goal. Oliseh played 52 Bundesliga games for Cologne from 1995 to 1997. He moved to Italy from Ajax Amsterdam.
