Czech Star Bejbl On Juventus' Mind

MADRID (March 25, 2000 3:04 p.m. EST http://www.sportserver.com) - Atletico Madrid's Czech international Radek Bejbl, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has signed a pre-contract with leading Italian side Juventus, the daily AS reported here Saturday.
Bejbl said that the club's official administrator, Miguel Angel Rubi Blanc, had not initiated negotiations to renew his contract, which expires June 30, despite a verbal agreement with club's former president Jesus Gil, who stripped of the presidency of Spanish first division outfit following fraud accusations.
The midfielder said that no decision had been taken concerning his contract after the club was taken control of by government administrators, and that he still hadn't had any contact with the new club managers.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined Atletico in 1996 from Sparta Prague.
