Juventus Win Derby 3-2 As Rivals All Lose
ROME, March 19 (Reuters) - Juventus beat Torino 3-2 in a tense Turin derby on Sunday to build a nine-point lead at the top after nearest rivals Lazio, champions AC Milan and
fifth-placed AS Roma all lost to lowly opposition.
Lazio lost 1-0 to a Domenico Morfeo strike at Verona, AC Milan's Leonardo missed a penalty as his side went down by the same scoreline at Venezia and Roma were beaten 2-0 at the Olympic Stadium by Reggina, in their first season in Serie A.
The results left Juventus on 59 points with eight matches to play. Lazio stay second on 50 points ahead of Inter Milan, who drew 1-1 with Bologna on Saturday, on 48, Milan on 46 and Roma on 45.
Defender Ciro Ferrera and striker Alessandro Del Piero scored Juve's goals after Torino midfielder Massimo Brambilla had given Carlo Ancelotti's side the lead with an unlucky own goal. Marco Ferrante scored both Torino goals from the penalty spot.
